| HOUSTON ARBORETUM: The
Houston Arboretum & Nature Center is located at 4501 Woodway.
Many Sunday afternoons, the Nature Center offers a free, informal
program about various nature topics. Presentations vary from lectures
to walks to hands-on demonstrations. There are also accommodations
for you to run a nature-themed event on their property. For more

| HOUSTON MUSEUM OF
NATURAL SCIENCES: Fall
classes are now open - hurry to register, because they fill extremely
fast. Wolves and Bears can now earn the Astronomy, Geology, Science,
and Weather Belt Loops and Pins. Webelos pin classes will be held
for Engineer, Forester, Geologist, Naturalist, and Scientist. To

The newly re-built and re-stocked
McGovern Lake at Hermann Park (next to the zoo) is open for free,
catch-and-release fishing for those ages 12 and under, or 65 and
older. You can angle for channel catfish, largemouth bass, and bluegill
