Scouting

Pack 80 belongs to the Otetiana Council of the Boy Scouts of America. By the way, the name "Otetiana" (pronounced "oh-TEESH-ee-ah-na") means "always ready" and was derived from an early Native American Chief of the Seneca Nation. Chief Otetiana was born in the 1750s near Cayuga Lake. His Colonial contemporaries gave him the nickname of "Red Jacket" since he proudly wore a scarlet coat given to him by President George Washington. Many Americans regard him as a folk hero of the Revolutionary period. He died in 1830 and is buried near Buffalo, New York.
Where's the Scout Shop? Located on the lower level of the Otetiana Council Scout Servicenter, the Scout Shop is your one-stop shop for a wide variety of Scouting items. Here is a map. What are the operating hours? Look at the bottom of this page.

For more information on uniforms, check out the Virtual Uniform & Insignia Handbook.
Scouting The Net is a great starting place when looking for scouting information on the web.
MacScouter, The Scouting Service Project, and the Virtual Cub Leader's Handbook, also have some good information and resources on scouting.
Knot happy?  Check out the knots at Rosegarden's Scouting Resources, or the animated knots at Appalachian Search & Rescue, or at Cherokee Scouting.

For Den Leaders, check out the Advancement Management Spreadsheets from the Virtual Cub Leader's Handbook site. Tracking your Wolf, Bear or Webelos den's achievements will be a lot easier (Microsoft Excel 5.0 or later is required).
