Diagonal Lashing

 To bind poles at an angle other than a right angle, use a diagonal lashing.

	Tie a timber hitch around both poles...
	...and pull it snug.
	Make three tight wraps around both poles, laying the wraps neatly alongside the timber hitch.
	.Make three more wraps across the first three.
	Cinch down the wraps with two fraps between the poles.
	Tie off the rope end with a clove hitch.
