The rank of Eagle Scout has been earned by around 4% of every boy who has been a member of the Boy Scouts of America since the Scouting program was founded in 1911 (Source: Boy Scouts of America). Nevertheless, the goals of Scouting - citizenship training, character development, and personal fitness - remain important for all Scouts, whether or not they attain Scouting's most coveted honors - the Eagle Scout rank.

Troop 53 is extremely proud of their Eagle Scouts. These gentlemen are:
  • L. Marshall McMahan - October 1997

  • Jonathan C. Langford - November 1998
