About Troop 61

"Welcome Scouts and parents. Our main goal is to give opportunities for our boys to learn leadership and responsibility to run the troop. This way they will take on new challenges and experience the everyday life that they will soon be thrust into. Scouting is a game with a purpose."

We in Troop 61 exemplify the very essence of Scouting but we don't stop there. When many people think of Boy Scouts they think of camping, hiking, and generally the outdoors. Although we do focus on things in that area our views extend far beyond the great outdoors. We do rock climbing, sled building, cooking competitions, and even sleeping in a submarine. Our leaders are always open to new ideas for troop activities.

So we invite you to stop by and see for yourselves.
